The inspiration behind the design: When going through the awful discomfort of Brain Cancer treatment I took such great comfort in staring up at Kunanyi from my backyard. While its colossal scale is definitely impressive, I was far more in awe of its lifespan. In comparison to ours, nothing even gets close. It might as well be immortal. This awareness humbles me in a way few other things have ever done. I say that the mountain is “king” in the same way Florence Welch speaks of herself. To be king is something beyond gender. To be king is simply to be THE everything.
